The Department of Music of Kathmandu University announces opening of admissions for four-year Bachelor Program in Ethnomusicology (BMus) for the coming academic year 2023.

The programme emphasizes on training competent musicians and ethnomusicologists to document, preserve, and work creatively with the endangered musical traditions of Nepal. The entire course is highly participatory and students are expected to take an active role in the preparation and leading of class discussions.

Eligibility:

Completion of a 10+2 or equivalent, degree in any discipline from a recognized institution with a least 40 % marks/ or CGPA: 2.0

Duration: Four years

Form Distribution (online or hard copy): June 15 to July 15, 2023

Last date for form submission: July 15, 2023

Entrance Exam: July 16, 2023

Recital and Interview: July 18, 2023

Admissions of selected students: July 20 to July 30, 2023

Orientation: August 2, 2023

The new semester will begin from August 6, 2023
