About Isa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from the Basque region\n(Spain\/France) and trained as a\nclassical musician (Le\nConservatoire\/ piano), I am a\ncomposer, singer\/songwriter\nbased in London\/UK.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have worked extensively for film, theatre, dance and performance as well as producing songs. I have scored a wide range of films for Television and Independent Film from emotional psycho- dramas, to adventure documentaries, socio-political, visual art and animation such as BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic, Sexta\/Spain, France 3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My compositions and songs are eclectic (classical,\nelectronic, jazz, urban and experimental) and have\nbeen published and broadcast worldwide.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have collaborated with The London\nContemporary Chamber Orchestra,The Marsyas\nTrio Ensemble; musicians from English National\nOpera, South Bank Sinfonia; Inner Vision\nEnsemble, Transglobal Underground and\nestablished choirs in UK and South Africa.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key to my practice is collaboration and\nparticipation. I often work with people living at the\nnexus of political, mental health or environmental\nsituations. I seek to articulate diverse lived\nexperiences and bring together new dialogues,\nmusical techniques and audiences often devised\nwith community input. My work is often created\nand produced in collaboration with other\nmusicians, artists, film makers, community\ngroups, grassroots orgs and NGO\u2019s, especially in\ndeprived areas or with vulnerable people.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have created a number of sound installations and soundtracks that explore these subjects through performance, music, visual art and lyrics. Some of this work has been exhibited at leading London galleries including Tate Britain, Barbican Arts Centre, Whitechapel Art Gallery and South London Gallery. These projects have also led me to collaborate, perform and exhibit with other communities, musicians and artists in UK, South Africa, Lebanon and Argentina, including Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Platform, Extinction Rebellion, WarChild, Art Angel, Glastonbury Festival, Cape Town 09 Art and Berlin Bienales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
