  1. The fees are payable at the beginning of each semester (six months in one semester including government holidays\/summer\/winter vacation) and are to be deposited at the University bank account. Fees cannot be refunded, if a student decides to discontinue or causes his\/her dismissal. Late fees will be charged as per the University rules.<\/li>
  2. Without submitting a \u2018fee clearance slip\u2019 from the Department\u2019s administration, students will not be allowed to take any examinations.<\/li>
  3. The Department of Music accepts no liability for accidental injury and loss of property sustained on the Department\u2019s premises.<\/li>
  4. Students are liable for any damage willfully or negligently caused by them to people, property and\/or equipment including furniture, books, and recordings. Students must treat the historic premises, religious shrines and gardens of the Department with due care and respect.\u00a0 Picking flowers and fruits is strictly forbidden.<\/li>
  5. Students will obey special instruction for the use of the library, classrooms, studios, equipment and musical instruments.<\/li>
  6. No smoking in the Department premises. The use of narcotic drugs is forbidden.<\/li>
  7. Students are expected to assist at University events and public events held by the Department.<\/li>
  8. Students are required to attend classes punctually and on a regular basis, i.e. as scheduled. Please note that if students are absent from a class for personal reasons the Department will not substitute the session. In the case of Government\/ public holidays, semester end holidays and unforeseen Natural circumstances no classes will be arranged.\u00a0 The Department will be responsible for providing extra classes where cancellation is caused by the absence of the teacher.<\/li>
  9. Library\/ Studio<\/strong>\/ Practice Room\/ Classroom: <\/strong>The Students are not allowed to take away, loan or borrow any books and equipments from the Department without permission from the authorized personnel. The students are expected to observe the rules and regulations in using any of these rooms. The students are required to report any lost or damaged books and equipments to the administration.<\/li><\/ol>
    1. Attendance: <\/strong>Students must be present at least 80% of the total number of days in a semester, to fulfill the requirements of the Department of Music. Absences of a student should not exceed the allowed 20% of the total number of days in a semester.<\/li><\/ol>
      1. Students are strictly forbidden to bring political influences inside the music department including but not limited to holding meetings, rallies, bandhs and other strikes, using political clout and making political demands etc.<\/li>
      2. The Department will provide all the assistance to each student as per the University\u2019s rules and regulations. The Department will not provide additional assistance that is not in the University rules and regulations.<\/li>
      3. The Department is not responsible for ensuring any scholarships, funds, grants or job prospective to the students. Such assistance will be provided only when appropriate.<\/li>
      4. Students are required to maintain courtesy and politeness with all the Students, Staff and Faculty members of the Department at all times.
